We knew going to the last BYU football home game was a risk because it tends to snow. But that was the only game we could make it to and we had to keep our At Least 1 Game A Year tradition alive. Last minute, the game was scheduled for 8pm. Brrrr! So we booked a hotel and drove slowly through the snow to Provo.
We have a rule in our family of don't jump on the bed - until we're at a hotel. :-)
After an evening of wandering around the BYU Bookstore, the Museum of Art, and hitting up a favorite Indian restaurant (5 servings for Lydia, wow!), we bundled up and headed over to the stadium.
We were at the very tippy top of the stadium, but happy to be there. See that snow on the bench in front of us? That's what ours looked like before Tyson shoveled the snow and chipped the ice away. Good thing we brought a blanket and someone else brought a shovel! Thanks to warm coats and snowpants, the kids lasted a whole quarter (hey, we saw 4 or 5 touchdowns and Cosmo, we were good!) before I took them back to the hotel and Tyson finished the game.
It was cold, but a fun, memorable adventure and I'm glad we all went!
