Soccer Girl!

From being chased off the soccer field at her brother's games to kicking a ball off to the sidelines with short little legs...
...she is finally 4 years old and gets her turn on the field.  Lydia's 1st soccer game was a riot!  There is nothing like 3 and 4 year olds playing soccer.  It's even more fun if the person calling the plays is Coach Dada.

Mother Daughter Friends

Once upon a time, the summer of my 16th birthday, I was in a play at the city's amphitheater.  My job was to wave a fan at the Pharaoh while Joseph sang, before earning his Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.  The girl with the fan on the other side of Pharaoh was named Becky.  We became close friends, later roommates at BYU (picture below from a roommate Disneyland trip), and stayed in touch until both moving back to Utah and living within minutes of each other now.
You know what else is fun?  Our daughters are great friends now.
One day we took them to a pretty spot to play princess dress up and take lots of pictures.
One more of my little mermaid, just for fun.

3 Siblings

They love their new sister so much.  It's one thing they agree on and they work together so well to help me take care of her.  As for her part, Baby Sister is fascinated with her siblings.  I hope these three are always close!

9 Weeks

We can't get enough of her!
Smiling at her brother.
At her 2 month old appointment yesterday she weighed in at 11lbs 14 oz and was 23 1/2 inches tall.  What?  When did she grow so much?  That's 4 1/2 pounds and 3 1/2 inches in only 2 months time!

Mama and Kate

At the end of Kathryn's baby blessing day I was feeling sad that I am not in a single picture holding her, since she was born really. I'm always behind the camera. It sure is nice to have a friend with a photo studio.  Problem solved.
Love her!

Kathryn Nicole's Baby Blessing

We were so happy with all the family that could be with us on Kathryn's special day.  Her 1st milestone in the Church, receiving a name and a blessing from her Heavenly Father.
Tyson gave her the correct name (I told him if he changed it, I would stand up and shout out, "I object!"  :-)  Her blessing was beautiful.  I am so thankful for the gospel of Jesus Christ in which we can feel so close to our Heavenly Family at times.

Happy parents.
Silly siblings.
Kathryn's family and her grandparents.
The Hillier Family side.  Uncle Matthew flew all the way in from Atlanta.
Those with small children couldn't wait around for pictures at church so we all met up again for a luncheon at Grandma Joyce and Grandpa Jim's home.

Uncle Justin, Aunt Michelle, Levi, and Asher came from California for the blessing.
Aunt Lindsay, Uncle Dustin, Addison, and Maya came from Arizona.  Thank you family for your support!
Besides the blessing, this was my favorite part of the day.  Grandma West was holding Kathryn so I could get something to eat.  I walked back into the room and saw this.
I have never seen Kate smile or coo this much!  They were having quite the conversation. :-)

A few more cute pictures from the day.

Long day, all tuckered out.

Callie

Our family couldn't have asked for a better cat.  She's so patient with the kids, she thinks they are her kittens.  When Baby Kate cries, Callie gets so concerned, brushing up against my legs and leading me into the baby's room.  Love her.

Blessings and Pineapples

Baby Kate is 6 weeks old!  I took her back to my friend's studio to get a photo of her in her baby blessing gown.
Once that was done, we pulled out the pineapple hat and booties she got at my baby shower.  And set her in a bowl of fruit. :-)  Gotta have fun while I still have a newborn, right?
