Kathryn's 6 Month Photoshoot

And...she's 6 months old!

This girl is such a happy, content, and mild-mannered baby! Her face lights up whenever a family member enters the room, which is so good for our egos.  Her brother can make her laugh, without fail. Her sister can soothe her with a song. She still sleeps through the night, though like a college student - stay up late, sleep in late. She adores stuffed animals, especially eating them. She has finally figured out that our cat is not a human and squeals in delight whenever she sees Callie. She doesn't roll, unless it's on accident, but the doctor said it's because she's just a content baby. She has wild hair, but doesn't care, big sparkly blue eyes, and the most adorable wide mouthed toothless grin - or lips together straight line grin. She babbles and laughs, loves her baths, and flails around excitedly on the changing table. Oh, and she thinks peek-a-boo is the funniest game ever invented. We couldn't imagine our lives with out our little miracle baby and love her so much!

Check out this guy.

He likes, actually likes to come play photographer's assistant to me when I have sessions.  It's so helpful!  And such a sweet way to serve as he's standing over my head squawking the parrot puppet to get the kids to look or posing families in the just the perfect way. 

I had a bunch of fun, but stressful mini sessions early this month and he was along with me every step of the way.  A photography date night, he calls it.

Black Island Farms

Our family went to Black Island Farms to pick out our Halloween pumpkins this evening.  Look closely at Tyler and Lydia's pants.  Of all the fun things to do at the farm, their favorite part?  All the dust and dirt to draw in and kick around.

 And the baby?  Yes, she enjoyed the outing too.

Family Photos 2015

Now that our family is complete, we'd like to start the tradition of getting family photos done every year to document our growth.  Our friend of Elise Frazier Photography met us at Saltaire Farm's horse barn and did such a wonderful job!  It was a fun family outing as well where we got to play and read together, walk around and explore, and pet the dogs and horses.

20 Weeks

20 weeks old...young?

 Kathryn has decided that there is a special bond between her and her brother.  If she's crying, all he has to do is talk to her.  If she hears his voice in the room, she cranes her neck as far as it will go to find him.  When he's next to her, she completely lights up.
