January Updates

I love my girl!

Grandma Joyce braved the Utah Winter for a trip up from Arizona. She loves us! And we love, love, love visitors!
What an adorable smile!
Lydia tried veggies for the first time and this face epitomizes exactly what she thought.
Not to be left out, Tyler donned a bib and some of the mashed beans and tried to show Lydia just how yummy there were!
Aunt Lisa returned from a business trip to Japan and brought Lydia a beautiful kimono.
Apparently her new kimono makes her feel fierce. Look out baby tiger!
That's our month in sum! Tyson is still enjoying his job at ABC4 and as far as I'm concerned, my little employers are growing up way too fast. Sometimes I wish I could just shrink them in the dryer. But I am grateful for a camera and a blog to document happenings and milestones!

A Very Merry Christmas Eve 2010

Uncle Mike hosted the West Family Christmas Eve party at his home in Draper. I have so many girlhood memories of good times with my cousins there, it was nice to be back. Christmas Eve is such a special holiday and always has been my favorite. You've got the fun mixed in with the spiritual.
Lydia sure had fun with her Uncle Matthew
And Tyler had a blast with this - cousin Brad's chinchilla.
Lots of family
Isn't Lydia's Christmas dress beautiful?
And so is she. I love this picture!
One of our traditions is to play Christmas music on the chimes. Everyone gets a chime and is responsible for that note in the music. It gets loud and sometimes sounds good, sometimes not so much when people aren't paying attention - but that's part of the fun!

Even Lydia got really into it.

Always my favorite part of the night is driving home when we're all quiet and tired, watching all the Christmas lights go by, looking at the stars and thinking of how it was so long ago when Baby Jesus was born, and anticipating Christmas Day tomorrow. Merry Christmas Eve everyone!

Some Winter Fun

During the first snow fall at our new home, the boys had to go out and play in it. Lydia and I stayed inside where it was warm and played with my new camera. :-)

Look at those arms going!

Lydia is 6 months old. Break out the rice cereal!
What?
This is her happy-Daddy's-taking-the-bowl-away face.

Happy Thanksgiving 2010!

Happy Thanksgiving! I'm grateful for -
Tyler and Lydia
Anyone who will take the time to read to or tell Tyler stories
Babies and being able to watch them grow and learn. What a miracle they are!
That we could get together as family. This is just a few of us. So fun to meet Justin and Michelle's new baby Levi! Our first nephew.
